Go on a weekday if you can. Weekends (especially summer Sundays) bring the Marrakech crowds; midweek, the valley breathes.
Monday = market day. If your dates allow, the Tnine Ourika souk is one of the most authentic rural markets near Marrakech — donkeys, barbers, mountains of mint. Ask us to build it in.
Bring a swimsuit in summer… The plunge pools below the falls are irresistibly cold on a hot day.
…and a layer in winter. The valley sits in mountain shadow and runs cooler than the city year-round; from December to February the peaks above are snow-dusted and beautiful.
Agree prices before, everywhere. Camel rides, craft stalls, extra guiding — the valley is friendly, and friendly negotiation upfront keeps it that way.
