Land in Casablanca, decide the exit later. CMN is Morocco’s best-connected airport and our home base — and day 10 can end at Marrakech’s airport or loop back to Casablanca by train or transfer. Book the arrival; we’ll shape the departure around fares.
Protect the four golden hours. Chefchaouen’s empty dawn (day 3), the dune-crest sunrise (day 6), Jemaa el-Fnaa at dusk (day 7), and Essaouira’s port at lunch (day 9). Ten days exist so none of these gets traded for a road.
Spend the flexibility where your heart is. The route’s one built-in choice — Dades night versus second desert night (day 6) — is the trip’s personality question. Canyon romantics keep the gorge; sand souls double the Sahara. There’s no wrong answer, only yours.

Common Mistakes Travelers Make with Ten Days in Morocco
Spending ten days at seven-day pace. The extra days exist to slow down, not to add four more towns. Itineraries cramming Tangier, Agadir, and Ouarzazate-proper into this route return you home needing a vacation.
Skipping Essaouira as “just a beach town.” It’s the trip’s exhale — the day your legs, camera, and marriage thank you for. The travelers who skip it are the ones who haven’t been.
Treating day 8 as optional. Marrakech seen only on arrival evening is Marrakech unseen. The full Red City day is precisely what ten days buy over seven.
